Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Somewhere Over The Rainbow- It appears that “somewhere over the rainbow” is at the Texas Theatre in Palestine! The Palestine Community Theatre has been working hard to bring the “Wizard of OZ” to the stage of the Texas. Opening Night is just a week away and it is sure to be a sold out show!

This year’s performance of The Wizard of OZ is under the direction of Sandy Couch Hanson, a 30-year Texas Theatre and Palestine Community Theatre veteran and technical direction of Jared Cook, who has been performing since early childhood and in more recent years has been directing performances at the Texas Theatre. The show is sponsored by Wells Pumping Service, Inc.

Opening Night is July 22 at 7:30pm, but if you can’t catch the first performance you will have five more opportunities. Opening Night will be catered by Simon at Saber A Passion, and spirits will be provided by Granny Muffin Wines.
